Macro Photography

Macro photography can produce some fantastical images; I have a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 AF Micro lens to go along with my Nikon D300. This page contains my favourite macro photos and a little discussion of where and how I took them.

A purple flower in soft focus

A nice flower in soft focus due to the camera choosing the leaves which were proud of the flower. This photo was taken in natural daylight with the sun low in the sky and obscured by light cloud. - [105mm 1/320sec f6.3]

A nice wee yellow flower just beginning to lose it's seeds. This photo is heavily cropped as the flower was the best looking flower within a large number of flowers - [105mm 1/320sec f9.0]
